Earth Defence Astronomy
Observing space to protect the planet is a side to astronomy that I'm new too, but it is an interesting activity to be involved with.
As an owner of a Unistellar eVscope I have the opportunity to participate in observations that look to track objects in space that could potentially hit the earth one day.
There is also the opportunity to undertake other citizen science observations looking at exo-planet transitions. The hunt for eco-planets is something that is more accessible these days as equipment gets better and more affordable.
If you are an eVscope owner and ever find yourselves with the opportunity to visit Rakiura I would be happy to catch up and share my time and equipment with you.
